OFFSHORE FISHING REPORT - 13-15 June 2015 - Durban

OFFSHORE FISHING REPORT - 13-15 June 2015 - Durban
These 3 days had some of the most amazing conditions with light winds and flat seas, unfortunately we did not find any Tuna and so we bottom fished. On the first day we did very well with Englishmen and Slinger with some really good sizes, on the 2nd day I had a family with 2 teenagers who each got a good sized Rockod and some slinger and Englishmen. The 3rd day was simply fantastic I had a family with 3 young children and so we did bottom fishing with bass rods and we hooked up several large Englishmen, a lot Good size Slinger, an Amber Jack and a host of other species. The larger fish really revved us on the light tackle and the Dad and myself had to pitch in and help the children land these fish. Lots of Bottom fish around at the moment and the water got warmer each day and was just under 23deg.C on Monday. These last 3 days were certainly the coldest mornings I have encountered this year so far and beanies, jerseys and jackets were required each morning, especially Saturday. Brrrrrrr
