OFFSHORE FISHING REPORT - Durban - 27th May 2015

OFFSHORE FISHING REPORT - Durban - 27th May 2015
We launched at 06h00 this morning for a short 5hr trip, shortly after leaving the harbour mouth we saw our first Whale for this Winter season. We trolled North for about an hour with not even a touch. We then stopped for bottoms at 60m but the current was screaming pushing the boat more than 5km/hr and even with 32oz of weight we could not get the lines down and so we came back in shallow and fished 30-40m and managed a good mix of Slinger and Soldier Bream of medium sizes along with several undersized Rockod (All released). Water temp was just under 21.5Deg.C. Maybe, just Maybe we see Sardines this year, it's anyone's guess.
