FISHING REPORT - Durban - 22/11/2014 - Dorado

FISHING REPORT - Durban - 22/11/2014
We launched at 04h00 and dropped lines as we left the harbour mouth and before we even had all our lines out we had a reel go and by 04h30 we had a Yellowfin Tuna in the hatch. I thought to myself this is going to be a cracker day, but that was not the case and we had to wait till 07h30 to hear a reel scream again. This time it was a Dorado, a lovely Bull and our first Dorado for this season. The water was clear, we found water up to 23.5deg.C, we saw many flying fish, turtles, birds and in general the water was alive. The highlight of the trip was when a baby Humpback Whale jumped clear out of the water and did a complete twist before entering the water again and this was only 50m from the boat.
